The RibCap offers you all the advantages of a normal hat, cap or beanie and can at the same time protect you against bumps, bruises, grazes, and death; the usual things you encounter when you're horse riding, off piste snowboarding, climbing, biking - infact most outdoor persuits.

Using STRUCTURE&trade technology RibCaps are unique. Using Structure's advanced lightweight technology Ribcaps are unique. Structure technology is a specially engineered material that is capable of effectively absorbing impact and can therefore protect your head against injuries like bumps, bruises, grazes, etc... The protection-effect is also guaranteed for low temperatures and for extreme dampness.

Upon impact energy rich electrons induce a rearrangement and reaction of additional molecular cross-links within the StructUre material. Dependent upon the effective electron dosage, this results in a transition of the StructUre from a very flexible material into a semi-rigid or even fully rigid state. Optimal energy absorption resulting from visco-elastic behaviour and electron induced cross-linking.

StructUre is a lightweight material, much lighter than the d3o used in previous versions of the Ribcap and it also offers 100% breathability which was a disadvantage of previous models.
